Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 28, 2026
Who we are
65West LLC, Texas, United States, operates 65West Apps and develops Virtual Vinyl Player. For privacy requests, contact support@65westapps.com. This policy describes the website, production licensing, payment fulfillment, and email services.
Information involved
- Website connections: hosting and security services receive connection information such as IP address, browser information, requested pages, and request times to deliver and protect the site.
- Download analytics: when the public demo is downloaded, we retain daily aggregate counts by approximate city, state or region, and country as supplied by Cloudflare. We do not retain the visitor's IP address in the download-analytics database.
- Orders and licenses: purchase email address, order and product identifiers, license-key hash and ending characters, license status, refund or dispute records, and processing timestamps.
- Device activation: a hashed machine identifier, device or instance name, activation identifier, and activation, validation, and deactivation timestamps. Hashed identifiers are still treated as personal information when linked to a purchase.
- Email delivery: recipient address, delivery-service message identifier, and sending or acceptance timestamps. License emails necessarily contain your license key.
- Support: messages, screenshots, and diagnostic files you choose to send. Review logs before sending them; they may include local paths, device details, or music metadata.
Your local collection
Music playback and collection indexing take place on your computer. The licensing service does not need your audio files or collection index to activate the player. Optional online artwork searches can send search terms, such as artist or album names, to external services; those providers also receive normal network connection information. Local application settings and cached data remain on your device unless you choose to share them or use an online feature.
How information is used
We use information to deliver and validate licenses, enforce the two-device limit, send transactional emails, process refunds and disputes, provide support, secure services, and maintain required business records. Where a legal basis is required, these activities rely on performing our contract, complying with legal obligations, or legitimate interests in security and support. Optional consent-based processing, if introduced, will be explained before it begins.
Service providers
Cloudflare hosts the website and licensing infrastructure. Paddle processes checkout and payment information under its own notices and shares order information needed for fulfillment. Resend delivers license emails. Zoho Mail handles our support mailbox. Payment details are entered with Paddle and its payment providers; the licensing database does not store full payment-card numbers or security codes. Providers receive information needed for their roles, and their own privacy notices may also apply.
Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Applicable transfer protections must be used where required. We may disclose information when legally required or necessary to address fraud or protect legal rights.
Storage and retention
License records are retained while needed to support your entitlement and prevent unauthorized reuse. Order, refund, and dispute records may remain longer for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention needs. Support and delivery records are retained for their operational purpose and applicable obligations. Deletion requests are reviewed against those needs; deleting necessary licensing records can affect our ability to provide activation services.
Cookies and choices
The site does not include advertising or third-party analytics scripts. The public demo download service uses a short-lived, necessary cookie to avoid counting repeated requests from the same download session as separate downloads. Hosting security and checkout services may also use cookies or similar technology.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your information, or to object to or restrict processing. Email us to request these rights; we may need to verify your identity. Where applicable, you may complain to your privacy regulator. You may also contact us to appeal a denied request. Necessary transactional emails are separate from marketing subscriptions.
Security and updates
We use measures intended to protect information, but no system is entirely risk-free. This service is not directed to children under 13; contact us if you believe a child has supplied personal information. We will update this notice when our practices change and provide additional notice where required.
